Terms of Service
Last updated 23 July 2026. These terms govern your use of edgelynks.com, our services and our software products. Please review them with a legal adviser before relying on them.
1. Who we are
This website and these terms are provided by EdgeLynks Ltd (“EdgeLynks”, “we”), a company registered in England & Wales (company number 17332163, registered office 49 High Street, Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex, CM0 8AG). By using our website or our products you accept these terms.
2. Using our website
You may use edgelynks.com for lawful purposes. You must not misuse it, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or interfere with its operation. Content on the site is provided for information and may change without notice.
3. Our services
Our studio engagements (FieldLynks, CoreLynks, WebLynks, AppLynks, DocLynks, PCBLynks and related consultancy) are provided under a separate written agreement or statement of work agreed with you. Where such an agreement conflicts with these terms, that agreement takes precedence for that engagement.
4. Our software products
Products such as EdgeLynks ERP are licensed, not sold. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the software on the installations covered by your purchase or subscription, for your own business use. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, reverse-engineer or modify the software except as permitted by law. All intellectual property in the software remains ours.
Our software runs on your own systems. Where it connects to third-party services (for example HMRC for tax filing, or accounting packages), it connects directly from your installation using credentials you provide, which you are responsible for keeping secure.
5. Your responsibilities — tax filing and data accuracy
Our software helps you prepare and submit your own statutory returns and records. You remain solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter, for reviewing figures before submission, and for the returns you file with HMRC or any other authority. EdgeLynks does not file on your behalf, does not act as your agent, and does not provide accounting, tax or legal advice. You are responsible for backing up your data and for the security of the systems the software runs on.
6. Third-party services
Features that rely on third parties (for example HMRC Making Tax Digital and RTI, or accounting integrations) depend on those services and their specifications, which may change. We are not responsible for third-party systems, downtime or changes. We describe our products accurately and do not claim any government or third-party endorsement.
7. Warranties and disclaimers
We provide our services and software with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, the software is otherwise provided “as is”; we do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free or that it will meet every requirement. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
8. Limitation of liability
Subject to clause 7, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, data (beyond restoring from your own backups) or business, or for indirect or consequential loss. Subject to clause 7, our total liability arising out of or in connection with the software and these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the software in the 12 months before the claim. You are responsible for penalties or interest arising from returns you submit.
9. Data protection
We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Notice. Data you process in on-premises software stays on your own systems and you are its controller.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. We may suspend or terminate a licence if you materially breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the software; your data remains on your own systems under your control.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest continue to apply.
